Intentional Creativity & 7Directions ® Dance

Intentional Creativity and 7Directions Dance

Saturday, July 21st, 1-8pm

If an intention could come alive and guide your way, how would it support your life?

Join  Staci Boden and Jane Sanguinetti for an afternoon of creative visioning, inspired painting, nourishing connection and joyful dance to delve into the powerful beauty of activating intentions.

We'll gather in a circle for personal sharing to connect what you most need right now with an intention.  Next, Jane will guide us through an Intentional Creativity painting process that invokes the canvas as a portal to express our intentions and set free any limited stories that are in the way of activating them. No painting experience necessary, at all.

After a break, we'll move into 7Directions, an earth-based dance ceremony. Led by founder Staci Boden, we'll circle up again to check-in. We'll then stand to call upon sacred elements and voice intentions aloud.

From there, surrounded by our collective creativity, we'll be free to shake, shout, shimmy and laugh to dance our intentions alive. No dance experience necessary, at all.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.

Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

During a meditation several years after developing Reiki, Mikao Usui decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five prinicples of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Mikao Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.

Reiki Ideals

"The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth"

Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind-
The founder , Usui Mikao

THE IMPORTANCE OF REGULAR SPIRITUAL RETREAT

There are many reasons why you may choose to participate in a spiritual retreat. Replenishing your energy, feeding your soul, taking time out, going deeper into your practice, listening to your intuition, joining others of like heart, letting go of stress, Self discovery, and reflection are a few of these reasons.

The many challenges of the current times affect us personally, nationally and globally.  The mind can easily get caught in the web of fear, anger and confusion.  Going within directs you towards your inner knowing.  You discover the great wealth of intelligence and love that dwells within you at all times, and this new found clarity brings awareness, stability, and grounding into your life.

Meditation and contemplation are forms of retreat that you can use in your daily schedule. Meditation is both a technique and a state of consciousness.  Meditation occurs naturally when you are walking on the beach or watching a bird glide across the sky, listening to music or sitting in silence with your Beloved.  Meditation is a natural state of consciousness that occurs when you are not caught in your thoughts or emotions.

When the mind is still, you receive sustenance directly from within.

PLACE: Joy of Being 2385 Carlos St. Ste. A Moss Beach, CA 94038

Now more than ever we need emotional healing and stability.

Love, so the Masters say, is a force of nature not only an emotion. It literally influences cellular and atomic behavior. The more loving we are, the more elevated our thoughts and emotions are the more power we have to generate a healthy body, life and world. It is simple, but it’s not easy. Mastering our thoughts and emotions is the key to loving ourselves and others. Moving towards mastery, not avoiding! We can not master thoughts and emotions by avoiding them. Breathwork gives us immediate access to our raw, authentic and pure emotions, paving the way for awareness, release and the emergence of Self Love.

Non-Ordinary States of consciousness have been used throughout time to commune with mystical awareness for the purpose of healing, teaching and transformation. Through the breathwork process, breathers are able to access and release old patterns and cellular memories that may be blocking personal and planetary growth. Once released from this unconscious material, people are enabled to engage more authentically, joyously and powerfully with life.

Breathwork is a process that responds directly to the part of us that is wise and whole, it reminds us of and reconnects us to who we truly are. At the same time it helps us release aspects of ourselves that are no longer serving our highest potential nor the world’s. During the breathwork session facilitators assist breathers in their individual processes with sound, scent (oils and herbs), verbal coaching, and hands-on bodywork and energy work (when necessary and previously agreed upon).

This is a 'single breathe' event with all attendees breathing in the same session. Participants are invited to work with Medicine Cards or Oracles of your choice and to create a 'mandala' after completing your session. Following the Breathwork sessions we will sit in circle so you can share your experience and ask questions if you wish.

New to Breathwork? If you are new to this type of Breathwork (deep, full, rapid and circular breathing), there is a required introduction to prepare you for the experience. You will need to attend both a 45 minute Teleconference (date and time to be determined) and a short demonstration prior to the Breathwork on Saturday.

All participants will need to arrive by 12:45 PM to register. Arriving late is not an option so please be on time. Traffic can be a bear so please plan ahead to estimate travel time.

PRE-REGISTRATION is required for all participants. Call or email Todd Zimmerman to reserve your space today! Todd@SoulPrints.me, or (650) 387-2051. All other details will be provided at registration or by request.

Food: We will provide a light snack after the breathwork session.

Facilitators and Assistants: Todd Zimmerman, Mark Takata, Ruby Monsen, Denise Miceli, and others. All facilitators have extensive experience in Breathwork of various types, body-work and personal growth modalities. We are all committed to serving people from the heart, to promote the emergence of Essence based living, personal and planetary shift and to the healing and transformation of our core challenges into allies and assets.

Come celebrate life and experience the healing power of music / sound.

Doors open at 7:30!

To get the most benefit from this deeply relaxing technology that we add to our improvisational musical creations, headphones / earbuds are optimal. However the use of headphones is completely optional.

We will all experience the healing power of toning, chanting, breathing, didgeridoo, drums, flutes, guitar, sitar and many other potential instruments and technologies.

Feldenkrais Series

The next Feldenkrais series will focus on Integrating the upper back. This 3 week series starts on March 7th at 6 PM at Joy of Being in Moss Beach and concludes March 21st. The cost of the series is $45 paid on March 7th. The drop in fee is $20.

Integrating the upper back series:

Many people experience tension, stiffness or pain in the upper back, that region from the lower part of the neck to the mid back. Often this is a result of now only about how we are using ourselves but also because many of us do not have a clear image of how that part of the spine relates to the shoulder, neck and lower back.

In this series, we will specifically work to integrate the upper chest and back with the arms, and neck, and the entire trunk and pelvis. As this series progresses you may begin to notice a change in your breathing, an ease in your neck, arms and your lower back. By experiencing these lessons my hope is that you will have self-care tools you can repeat at home to keep your upper back with that sense of aliveness that comes from feeling more integrated or connected to the entirety of you.

Please contact Susan prior to attending your first class at (650)465-5528, or millersusan50@comcast.net.

Meditation with Amita'

Join us for a Meditation/Satsang with Amita' followed by a question and answer inquiry and discussion. Amita' holds a direct transmission to the Awakened state. Amita's core teaching is that you already are whole and complete.  She asks you to let go of the false and fixed ideas that you use to identify yourself, and through that letting go, experience the Truth of your being. Expect to enter into two quiet meditations.

"My experiences with Amita' have been profound. Sitting with her has helped bring me very deeply into the core essence of my being." - Jane

When life unfolds from the core, we experience a deep sense of intimacy, of belonging.  Intimacy means that there is nothing between you and the experience, no attitudes, no false identities, no ideas of separation. Life is immediate, fresh and natural.

For more information, visit amitashakti.com

No experience is needed. Seats will be made available.  Donation based offering with a suggestion of $20.
