Feldenkrais Series

The next Feldenkrais series will focus on Integrating the upper back. This 3 week series starts on March 7th at 6 PM at Joy of Being in Moss Beach and concludes March 21st. The cost of the series is $45 paid on March 7th. The drop in fee is $20.

Integrating the upper back series:

Many people experience tension, stiffness or pain in the upper back, that region from the lower part of the neck to the mid back. Often this is a result of now only about how we are using ourselves but also because many of us do not have a clear image of how that part of the spine relates to the shoulder, neck and lower back.

In this series, we will specifically work to integrate the upper chest and back with the arms, and neck, and the entire trunk and pelvis. As this series progresses you may begin to notice a change in your breathing, an ease in your neck, arms and your lower back. By experiencing these lessons my hope is that you will have self-care tools you can repeat at home to keep your upper back with that sense of aliveness that comes from feeling more integrated or connected to the entirety of you.

Please contact Susan prior to attending your first class at (650)465-5528, or millersusan50@comcast.net.

Meditation with Amita'

Join us for a Meditation/Satsang with Amita' followed by a question and answer inquiry and discussion. Amita' holds a direct transmission to the Awakened state. Amita's core teaching is that you already are whole and complete.  She asks you to let go of the false and fixed ideas that you use to identify yourself, and through that letting go, experience the Truth of your being. Expect to enter into two quiet meditations.

"My experiences with Amita' have been profound. Sitting with her has helped bring me very deeply into the core essence of my being." - Jane

When life unfolds from the core, we experience a deep sense of intimacy, of belonging.  Intimacy means that there is nothing between you and the experience, no attitudes, no false identities, no ideas of separation. Life is immediate, fresh and natural.

For more information, visit amitashakti.com

No experience is needed. Seats will be made available.  Donation based offering with a suggestion of $20.

Feldenkrais Series

The first series of the year will focus on the relationship of the hip joints to the spine specifically the low spine and legs. These lessons I hope will prove to be interesting and helpful for you as you explore the possibilities of more freedom and ease in your hips and back.

Here are some thoughts on how I think about the way the hip joints and their function relate to you as a whole functioning person.

·        the spine must integrate with the pelvis in a way that allows the hips to glide easily in their sockets when the legs move

·        the hip is a ball and socket joint that must attach to the pelvis in a very particular way for the legs to work well

·        the spine, hips, and legs must function as a system or the muscles in the pelvic and groin areas can be stressed

These classes will approaches your pelvic, groin and hip limitations systematically and realizes that faulty interactions between various/related parts of the body cause strain on the entire system. For example, by contributing to an altered position of the pelvis and hip, a rigid ankle or old knee injury could be the cause of hip pain. These lesson will help clarify what may be limiting your hip function, so that functional relationships can be restored.

Please contact Susan prior to attending your first class at (650)465-5528, or millersusan50@comcast.net.

Hope you can join us. 3 week series: $45.00 Drop in: $20.00

SoulPrint Seminar- Discover your Soul's Agenda

Uncover hidden talents. Reveal factors influencing your current life experience.

Delight in this fun and informative evening with Todd Zimmerman, Hand Analyst and Soul/Life Coach as he shares a unique perspective on what it means to be human. It has been said that all souls share the same intention; to evolve. How we go about evolving is our Soul’s individual agenda a path to awakening and to fulfillment at the deepest level. Come and discover or perhaps be reminded of choices you made long ago. Significant elements of your soul’s journey are re- vealed by your fingerprints which form five months prior to birth and never change. Aligning with this information can add meaning, clarity and power to your path. We will also look for giftedness, talents and your fundamental nature by looking at the hand shape, lines on the palmar surface, and symbols found on both hands and how they influence your Soul’s Agenda.

This special engagement is limited to 12 people in a relaxed, home setting. After a short discussion, each participant will receive an 8 – 10 minute, mini hand analysis.

Todd was certified to read hands in 1991 by Richard Unger of the International Institute of Hand Analysis. He has facilitated transformational trainings, workshops and events since 1986. Todd co- facilitated a Transformational Coach Training program at The Institute of Transpersonal Psycholo- gy now called Sofia University, for Nine years.
