Klaus Lehrach

Klaus Lehrach is a playful, yet sincere student of yoga. He lives in the Half Moon Bay area with his wife Amanda and two cats.

He has been teaching since 1992. He has studied with some of the top American yoga teachers including Richard Freeman (yogaworkshop.com) and John Friend (anusara.com) and gives thanks each day for their generous guidance. He brings humor and lightheartedness into his classes, yet reminds his students that yoga is a spiritual practice that can help us awaken to our True Nature. Klaus has detailed knowledge of alignment principles and therapeutic application of yoga, respect for each student, and encourages awakening to what is. Classes are geared to reflect the abilities and diversity of the students.

Klaus' studies have included the fundamental texts of yoga philosophy; The Bhagavad-Gita, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and the Upanisads. He has also been influenced by his studies of Zen Buddhism with the San Francisco Zen Center. For more information about Klaus, please visit http://yoga.montara.com.

Hatha Flow

A precise, yet playful practice for students of all levels of ability and yoga experience. The practice will include challenging flow and the introduction of advanced postures, balanced with gentle and grounding poses to bring your body, mind and heart to an optimal place of connection and balance. This class uses the alignment principles and heart opening style of a rapidly growing yoga system founded by John Friend. "As we cultivate the body through asana, the breath through pranayama and the mind through meditation, you can connect to your own truth, in your own way."

Rocky Coursen

Yoga is spiritual practice for Rocky. His intention for the classes he leads is for his students to build power, flexibility, balance and brightness while having fun and developing an awareness of how the alignment of bones, connective tissues, muscles and energy work in movement. He encourages connection with spirit (inspiration, love, joy, courage, steadfastness, kindness).

There is a set of core asanas (the lunges and standing poses) that he includes in almost every class. He tries to lead the same asanas often enough for his students to master their basic form. He inspires students to give their best in each asana and to work to the level of intensity that makes sense for them that day.

Rocky has studied with John Friend (anusara.com) and imitates his style of alignment and enthusiasm in leading Hatha Yoga asanas. "I aspire to be sensitive and inspirational, leading my students to their own joy and stillness and brightness through the practice of yoga."
